IFS 2023 will offer hybrid sessions, including virtual programming and an in-person networking reception. Based on our experience with virtual sessions last year and knowing the general limitations on interactivity in virtual sessions compared to being in-person, please consider the following guideline as you think about how you would run your session.
There is a limit to how many people can be on “stage” which often means it is difficult to enable session participants to freely turn on their cameras and converse or ask a question in the moment.
Session lengths for virtual events generally do not exceed 1.5 hours.
Interactivity can be achieved using the chat, small group breakouts, and utilizing external apps.
Please limit open-ended responses to 200 words or fewer.

Our goal is to accept as many session proposals as possible that meet the criteria and fit into the summit’s schedule. Please note that the working language of the event is English. At this time, we are not able to provide translation beyond captioning in English or American Sign Language translation.
